Many people stopped glancing at the youth walking slowly toward the station. She was a sweet girl but, she was also rather strange at the same time. Solo skipped up the steps to the train station and stopped on the platform watching the sunset. The girl's dark silver gaze appeared golden in the red-orange light. "What a day....I just wish..." She sighed and shook her head lightly. "That'll never happen...Why bother....Oh, well...." She said smiling lightly, even in the darkest times she set a smile on her lips even if it was fake. Solo was a sweet child anyone in Twilight Town could say that but, what she longed for most was a friend to rely on when things got rough. So, there Solarice stood watching the sunset, people, and occasional train go by.

The people of the city rushed by, not one soul daring to stop or glance away. They kept their eyes trained in an angle, knowing the man was an outcast, knowing something was wrong with him. No, not physically. He was obviously well fit and trained daily, but his mind was another thing. No one saw him smile, maybe a smirk or grin that didn't quite light up his features. His navy blue eyes, once bright and shining as a kid, were dull and nearly lifeless. The people who usually saw him as a spunky little boy saw his progression fail over time as his parents passed away, becoming more indward of himself. The boy had stopped talking altogether at a young age of seventeen and they rarely heard a word. Now they feared him, although some would manage a small weak smile or a slight flick of the fingers in a friendly greeting, wondering if he was just not there. But soon enough, they had given up. Christian just wasn't the boy he used to be.
He stood there, leaning agains the far wall of the station as they rushed past, his arms crossed over his chest loosely. They would be too afraid if he wielded his weapon in plain sight, so he was never seen with it. In the past five years, Christian had only spoken a few words, but not towards the citizens of the city. He had been pissed off to an extreme during battles, and his anger problem hadn't gotten any better since the Heartless and Nobodies began showing up again. But he always welcomed a challenge, especially if it was his chosen followers. Yes, followers, but that would probably be revealed in time if he had even the tiniest of light left in his heart.
At the age of sixteen, Christian had been gifted, or more rather cursed, with a weapon. It explained everything, pushed it toward him, and he had foolishly accepted it. As time progressed, the darkness within the weapon began to invade his thoughts, taking over his dreams and wishes and eventually leaving him with nothing but the darkness itself. It fed him false truths, false hopes and false wishes. It told him to do what was, in their way, right, but in the end it left only pain and hurt. It used to haunt him, but now, it barely affected the man he had become. Now he was like a Heartless itself, void of caring thoughts or actions, not even a hint of remorse or pity. Just stark blackness and a need to be superior to get what he wanted.
Slowly, navy blue eyes were revealed and looked up, scanning the crowd quickly. Adults rushing to work, kids running around on foot and skateboard alike. Nothing but the usual boring day. Maybe he had nothing left to do here in Twilight Town. Maybe he need to go elsewhere to seek what he wanted; that's what the darkness was telling him to do, anyway.

Her shoulders heaved in a heavy sigh as the girl watched the light fade away. Now was her favorite time of day. Now was the time she felt at peace. Twilight. Yes, odd as it may sound in the twilight hour the world seemed to slow as did time itself. Solarice turned and almost tenderly moved her keyblade with her. The town people thought it was only a simple toy because, who would ever think Solo would have a real weapon? Seriously, she didn't look the type.
"Fire fire of the night... Keep the shadows burning bright... Loving me is not a sin... Hold your breath and jump on in..." She voiced in a soft tone with a light smile. Fire, it was Solo's favorite thing to watch and also the title to one of her poems. The girl's dark silver gaze slowly scanned the area as the last train pulled up and people got off. Solo's gaze seemed to grow softer at the sight of parents and their children and, there also was a glimmer of longing. Every once and a while someone from a different district would happen upon the station and spot her.
"Look there....That girl....Who is she waiting for...?" A man asked one of his friends. "Joe, that Solarice.....The girl who's parents disappeared." The other man replied. "Sam are you serious....? Shouldn't we give her some money or something?" Joe asked. Sam opened his mouth to reply but, promptly closed it ushering his confused friend along after seeing the light glare from those silver eyes.
"I don't want their pity yet, they often force it upon me...." She said out loud with an annoyed sigh. "In honesty I want out....I'm so sick of this place and all the memories it holds." She voiced talking to herself and startling the people that passed her. As she looked through the sea of people Solo caught sight of another person watching as she did. The girl was mildly startled herself at how people purposely avoided him. She'd heard rumors of a boy who never spoke and some of the other teens often teased her, telling her she'd be perfect for him.
Annoyed at herself and slightly confused at the sight Solo instinctively gripped the hilt of her keyblade, Absolution. She only did this if she got nervous, it was one thing that people noticed most about her. The girl tore her dark silver gaze from the boy when she heard the train pulling out. "Well...What else is new..." She said shrugging and tilting her head back looking up at the first stars of the night. They're never coming back....You know that yet....You still wait every night for them.....Your a lost cause...A hopeless wreck.....The only thing that drive you on is that keyblade.... Those were the thoughts that constantly tugged at the back of her mind. Solo sighed and gave a bitter-sweet smile to herself. They weren't coming back, she knew it but, she still denied it.

Christian raised his eyes fully from the ground as the last train screeched to a stop, his navy blue eyes floating across the people stepping off. None of them returned his quick glance, but it didn't phase him one bit. He tore his gaze easily off of the people, turning them straight ahead; but that was a simple mistake all in itself. His blank navy gaze collided with a silver one at the last second, just as the girl looked away. But that's not what caught his attention. It was the weapon at her side he knew to be real and not a toy. His eyes narrowed in anger, wondering how she had gotten a hold of such a thing; especially when it was so light and welcoming compared to his own. Yes, his own keyblade, which showed the exact opposite of such a thing she held.
Just from that sight, he knew she was pure, or something close to it. She wasn't tainted with the curse he held upon his shoulders, in his hand, and it struck a jealous cord in his body. He had been chosen by the darkness, tainting his thoughts with things he somehow knew he'd never get, but she was blessed with a gift so light and promising? His anger tugged at him again, the darkness beckoning him to cross the distance and strike her down to get what he desired, but something held him back. Christian knew he wouldn't be able to obtain that keyblade, even with the power he beheld within him. His false will, alone, wouldn't be able to satisfy the jealousy he felt toward that girl and her striking keyblade and it only made him hate the world even more.
A dark whisper threaded across his thoughts suddenly, causing his hands to tighten their grip on his arms. He lowered his head, his navy blue eyes abruptly hidden from view as he closed them. Hatred rose as the darkness intercepted everything, engulfing his every thought with the intention of harm and distrust, only to end in a glory fit for him. He efficiently fought it off, the darkness receding to the back of his mind as he opened his eyes once again, staring at the girl across the station, one thought running across his now blank mind; What makes her so special to have such a keyblade as that...?

The girl's pulse spiked for a second. Why? Why were his eyes so empty? Solo felt a cold chill run down her spine and slowly looked toward him again. Her dark silver gaze was calm and curious all at the same time. "I wonder why they all avoid him....?" She said thining out loud which, was a mistake in itself since the station was now empty. Solo swallowed hard wondering if he'd heard her thought or not which, caused her to grow even more nervous.
With her heart racing and her nevers about shattered Solo calmly picked up her keyblade and walked toward the boy. Her target was the water fountian off to his right and she was rather thirsty. Hiding the inner struggle to stay calm she held her precious gift close as she drank the cool liquid. Maybe he was like her in a few way but, from what she could see he appeared to be her polar opposite. Solo lingered there for a moment breifly lost in thought before she snapped back to reality.
"Whats your name...?" She finally asked in a soft tone which, sounded rather timid and shy. This took alot out of her when she did this, after all she was rather nervous and skiddish around people she didn't know. With him though, something told her to talk to him. What is was she'd probably never find out or know but, hey thats how life is sometimes.

His gaze lingered on her a second longer before jerking away, keeping his focus on something else. The girl was a distraction in his cause and he didn't need to get her tied up in it. It'd just be something else that would drag him down, away from his goals he needed to accomplish. That was all company was, and that was all it would ever be to him. Yet when she spoke to him, actually brought up her courage to confront him, even this close, it caught his interest. Maybe he could toy with her, maybe say a few words to put her at ease, then run her off. She had a lot of guts and nerves, unlike most people, to actually approach him like she did. But it made him wonder all the more why she had. Tell her your name... The whisper was unbidden and came out of nowhere, pressuring him forward. Holding back an annoyed sigh, he switched his gaze over to the girl, looking down at her.
Christian took his time, studying her face. Her eyes seemed to tell a whole story and her features were soft and calming, as if she had no worries in her life. Although her voice set him off, letting him know that she was uncomfortable around him, it only wanted to make him smirk. But it never it appeared. His first intention was to call his keyblade and just run her off, be rid of her as quickly as possible, but he held himself back. "You should only fear someone should they bear a weapon you don't quite understand instead of judging them on rumors and appearance," he stated quietly, his voice smooth and low despite his lack of speaking. It was a subtle hint of her obvious feelings. Tell her your name... Christian looked away, his gaze falling to the floor as his anger for the dark intrusion washed inside of him again. With a calming breath, he looked toward the entrance of the station. "Christian.."

She nodded at his words and smiled weakly. "I'm sorry your right...Well its nice to finally meet you Chirstian..." She paused for a moment thinking. Should I tell him now...Or wait till he asks....? I guess now. She took in a soothing breath and slowly released it. "I'm Solarice...But...Its alright to call me Solo." She said in a rather calm tone.
The girl smiled lightly at him and actually relaxed some. Maybe the two of them could actually talk and get to know each other better. Maybe they could be each others strength in times of need. "I heard some kids saying you have a toy" She said sarcastically. "Like mine....Is that true? Do you have a keyblade too?" Solo was curious now, perhaps too curious for her own good.

Christian looked back at her, catching the weak smile that appeared on her face. Why in oblivion was she smiling? And why did she offer her name? Is she planning to become my best friend or something? he thought sarcastically. That, he could do without, seeing as they were nothing but trouble and drama. He had seen it as he wandered the streets and he was sure he'd just end up killing the poor kid who annoyed him with some love-sick story about a relationship or their pet died. It was just too... melodramatic, in his case; something he would gladly miss out on.
Shaking his head very slightly, he looked away. "My, my... What in oblivion gave you that idea?" he said, just as his hand became enfulfed in a dark cloudy aura. He turned his blank navy gaze back to her slowly, the darkness receding from his hand and disappearing into the air as it left an object behind in his hand. It didn't seem so ordinary like hers, something bright and comforting. Instead, it would give people the feeling of hatred and anger, something that made them feel like they weren't supposed to be there or gave them second thoughts about something. It was just.. the complete opposite of Solo's keyblade. Too bad hers didn't affect him as it might effect some passing people.
"Is this what you are referring to?" he asked, holding the black and red keyblade loosely in his hand. As much strength as it gave him to complete his objectives, he hated the thing. "If those people you have been so happenly been talking to even saw the damn thing, they would know first hand that it isn't a toy. It's... hardly a keyblade, in that matter..." He glanced at it, seeing the intricate pattern of a Heartless crest where the keyhole-shaped tip was supposed to be. It was definitely far from a keyblade.

Solo's eyes widened as she gazed over the keyblade. "It's beautiful...Amazing....That power....." She studdered out keeping her eyes locked on the deadly keyblade. Though Solo knew and loved the feeling of serenity Absolution gave her, just feeling the powerful darkness radiating off that dark Heartless keyblade made her blood boil and her senses spike. Like her keyblade, his didn't seem to affect her in the same way it would others.
"It's rather funny if you ask me....How those people think Absolution is nothing but, a simple toy...." She said in a tone that was calm yes, but at the same time a bit mysterious. Solo you see was a bit two sided as was everyone but, with her the darkness was her depression. Depression to her was like an escape from reality. A soft churning sound was heard as the phantom train passed by in its ghostly route. "So Christian....Have you lived here your whole life? I mean I find it strange that we've never met or seen each other until now." She said locking her dark silver gaze with his.

Christian was going to tell her the truth of the blade, what it did to a person when you got your grip on it's hilt. In all reality, it was actually the blade who had it's grip on the person. Instead, he only dropped his arm holding the blade. "Would I be here now if I didn't live here?" he shot back at her, raising a brow. It was true, if he had lived elsewhere, he wouldn't be here until much later in life. "I don't exactly fit in with the crowds, which is why I avoid them. That may be the reason why I'm not seen much in public and that might be the real solution to your question of my existance in this town."
His grip tightened on the hilt of the blade, a sharp pain appearing in the back of his head. It was a so-called subtle sign that he was saying too much and that he needed to stop ahead of time before he dragged the poor girl into something she was likely to get hurt in the process of. His dark navy gaze floated over her face before he moved in front of her, placing his free hand on the wall. His right arm remained at his side. "And maybe the fact we haven't met means we probably weren't supposed to meet. I think we just stepped out of line," he said, his eyes narrowing slightly. No, it wasn't anger; he had no real reason to feel angry about this girl despite the fact she had a keyblade that seemed more helpful than his own.

Solo looked at him smiling lightly. "If we were never met to meet.....We never would have met this evening." She replied in a relaxed tone. "Have you ever wanted to just escape and find where you want to belong...? Just leave Twilight Town forever...?" She asked glancing at the night sky twinkeling with stars and other worlds. Solo hadden't been this open with someone in a long time and oddly she didn't mind it. "Christian....Why do people pity or fear what they don't understand...?" She said glancing at a couple walking their dog and giving the two the strangest of looks.
There was one thing that actually pissed Solo off that she knew of and that was pity aimed toward her. Anothing thing that was begining to bother her was fear set toward a person for, not understanding them. Solo shook her head lightly and looked at Christian. "Ok..I know I can be a pain with my distant thinking, kindness, calm nature, and moments of depression but, I really think we could make a good tag team." She said in a calm tone, she wanted to learn more about him to see just how alike they were.

With so many questions, he wondered how the girl had gotten as far as she was today. With a light sigh, he kept his blank navy gaze trained on her. "Maybe because you haven't learned to keep your curiousity and feelings at bay. I'm sure if you had waited, we might have been able to meet on better terms, but I highly doubt that would have happened when we're still young," he said. "And no, I'd rather go when I feel like I don't have anything to accomplish here. As for people... they just hate to see people who are different from themself and give their disgust in a different form." It was harsh, but it was the way he saw it. If it hurt her in any way, that was her problem and her problem alone.
Following her gaze, he saw the old couple and his left arm dropped to his side, away from the wall, as his dark navy gaze narrowed on them. Slowly, his right hand lowered his keyblade enough so the tip was touching the ground and he returned his gaze to Solo's face. Just as he did, however, a yelp was heard from the couple's direction. If one looked over there, they would see darkness riding upward from the ground, tendrils reaching out and grabbing the dog's forelegs, enveloping the poor canine in darkness. The scene seemed to reflect in his eyes briefly, as if Christian was the one in place of that dog, but completed engulfed in it, his body and mind practically taken over by the dark substance. "I don't run well with others...." he said blatantly, his mind more focused on the shadows, which left him completely emotionless at the moment.
